2009 08-09 – Beijing
With 22 million people in the municipality, Beijing is a BIG city. In the centre the signs are not so obvious because everything is so spaced out: roads are wide, pavements are wide and so high-rise buildings don't seem so big. They don't overwhelm you, blocking out the light, in the way that they do in some other modern cities.
A bit to the North however, the roads are not as wide and the tower blocks seem endless.
