Five Pagoda Temple and Stone Carving Museum

2009 09 02 – Day 68 – Beijing

The disused Buddhist Five Pagoda Temple and Beijing Art Museum of Stone Carvings provided an interesting stop-off as part of a canal boat tour ride to the Summer Palace.

I love the way these mythical dragon/lion beasts look like they're so good humoured!  I think they look like they're having a good laugh with you about something. They look so happy to see me - it makes me grin in response – so I'm happy to see them too! :)

though this beasts owner doesn't look too amused...
