I had planned to stay in the Beijing for a month, so that I could get used to being in China and learn a little Chinese, but being such a big city, and consequently having many places to stay, I couldn't help but think there must be better places out there than the hostel I was in for my first four days in the city, booked by Sundowners as the final stage of my Moscow to Beijing trip. The problem is, once you've moved and started the 'grass is greener' mentality, it's difficult to stop and during the 30 days I was there, I ended up staying in five different hostels!
